Xarnia

Xarnia is a large new website that allows musicians and music lovers alike to discover and share new music. The website lets artists create an account and profile from which they can launch their own music careers by creating digital releases, without the need to go through a record company. The website then allows music lovers to discover the latest new music, listen to it online and also purchase downloads as well as create a CD, complete with a CD cover designer. This is a truly unique website that puts the power of music into the hands of those who create and listen to it.

Indulge Media were excited when asked to design and build the Xarnia website and the project started in the hands of Indulge Media's Guernsey web design team, who were tasked with creating a design that was visually engaging whilst also mindful of the vast amounts of content that would feature on the website. The website design stage resulted in a usability focussed design that puts the content of the website at the center of the experience, allowing musicians and music lovers to easily find their way around the website and enjoy the huge amounts of content online!

Indulge Media then took the project into development. The website was built using a bespoke content management system that is tailored perfectly to suit the unique content on the website. Key features include a fully responsive music player that resizes to the size of the window it is in, a file uploader that allows musicians to create music releases, an aggregator that allows artists to distribute their music to the likes of iTunes and Spotify and a CD creator that users can design CD covers with.

This has been a truly comprehensive project which has been made even more enjoyable by the Indulge Media team's love of music. The Xarnia website is now set to continue to grow whilst Indulge Media manage the search engine marketing to allow Xarnia to gain a solid foothold in the major search engines.
